This is the hovering milk used in the marketing campaign for the milk Arla Mini30.

The hovering milk was created in 3D in 3D Studio Max. I designed the glass in Macromedia Flash, and imported it to 3D Studio Max, where I made it into 3D.

The idea was to create something not usual, something you would stop and wonder what the heck that what be like, simply to attract attention, which is what the marketing campaign has to do.

I am not an expert in 3D and 3D studio Max so I made it the hard way. I sculpted the milk to let it have the shape it has in the pictures. I then added what was just a long brick in 3D and then twisted it and added a lot of noise to it and finally smoothed it out and voila, I had it look like the milk was being served. It was like I did it the hard way around but the output was quite satisfying and I don't reckon that anyone can tell the differense.
